Even though you can’t really tell in this picture, Lucy and Lilly (who Megan is babysitting while Julia is in LA and joined us at the Better TV shoot so the girls could have a playdate) are actually starting to like each other. Baby steps.

The table setting for Friday’s shoot: mismatched Kate Spade china, assorted vintage teacups (thanks, Mom!), Fishs Eddy drinking jars, old Dom Perignon bottle as vase. The small bouquet of flowers on the right, incidentally, is a dried bridesmaid’s bouquet from our wedding, and is sitting in one of the pink rice-paper votive holders we gave out as favors. I cannot believe that thing made it home from Maine, and then survived a move. (Those are cranberries in the baking tins on the windowsill; again, video and recipe to come).

Thursday night, Kendrick stayed up late helping me prep for Friday’s Better TV shoot (videos and recipes to come). What a sous-chef he is.
