After far, far, far too many years...I finally caved and bought new sneakers. (A more accurate description of what happened would be to say that Kendrick barricaded me in a Lady Foot Locker and refused to let me leave without a replacement for my beloved - and more than a little disgusting - pair of New Balances, and that I tried very hard to escape with white Converses that were more walking-around-the-East-Village than walking-on-the-treadmill before being gently redirected back to the cross-training department...but hey: the important thing is that it finally happened.)

They are ridiculous and make my eyeballs hurt, and also make my feet feel like they're wrapped in little joy clouds.

I love them.
