I Cried In Babies ‘R’ Us

The thing about being the very first of your friends to get pregnant is this:

1. Very, very few of them want to talk about babies (I don't blame them; I'm pregnant and I don't particularly want to talk about babies either...except I sort of have to, because I have never, ever been around an infant and have a bit to learn)...

Maine In The Summer

We just booked the B&B and car rental for a mini-vacation to Ogunquit in mid-June to celebrate my 30th birthday (which is at the end of May). I am SO EXCITED, and can't wait to pick up all things seashell-related to decorate the nursery - I'm leaning towards a marine theme.

How-To: Oxfords

Q. Hi Jordan, How do you feel about oxfords? They are super "in" these days, but being a girly girl, I don't know if I want to splurge.

StriVectin-SD Sensitive Skin Giveaway

[CONTEST CLOSED]

Ever since I worked on the Wrinkle Report series for Better TV, I've been a Strivectin-SD convert (click here for my post and video on texture turn-around). And as I mentioned in my Best New Beauty Finds / Spring 2011 post, lately I'm all about the Sensitive Skin version ($79) - I can use it twice a day easily, with no fear of dryness (and I am a very dry girl). The entire line, in fact, is my go-to for anti-aging (the Instant Retexturizing Scrub is another favorite).

The product is geared towards women aged 25+ who are battling signs of aging and yet are prone to dryness, flare-ups, or other issues that can be exacerbated by traditional anti-aging products - it offers all the benefits of regular StriVectin minus the fear of irritation.

To win one full-sized tube of Strivectin-SD Sensitive Skin (retail value: $79), just comment below telling me what you're presently doing to combat aging.

For Your Friday Viewing Pleasure

Spotted at the launch party for De Beers' new website last night: a Fancy Yellow Micropave Aura Ring with Fancy Yellow Cushion-Cut Solitaire. The saleslady asked me if I'd like to try it on; I had to decline lest I "forget" to take it off and end up arrested.

P.S. Fun fact: Did you know that "De Beers" and a unique number is inscribed inside each De Beers diamond through some top-secret technique that doesn't involve lasers or anything of the sort? I'm thinking...maybe some sort of thermographic process? Am I making that up? In any case, I don't get it...but I like it.
