The thing about being the very first of your friends to get pregnant is this:
1. Very, very few of them want to talk about babies (I don't blame them; I'm pregnant and I don't particularly want to talk about babies either...except I sort of have to, because I have never, ever been around an infant and have a bit to learn)...
We just booked the B&B and car rental for a mini-vacation to Ogunquit in mid-June to celebrate my 30th birthday (which is at the end of May). I am SO EXCITED, and can't wait to pick up all things seashell-related to decorate the nursery - I'm leaning towards a marine theme.

Spotted at the launch party for De Beers' new website last night: a Fancy Yellow Micropave Aura Ring with Fancy Yellow Cushion-Cut Solitaire. The saleslady asked me if I'd like to try it on; I had to decline lest I "forget" to take it off and end up arrested.
P.S. Fun fact: Did you know that "De Beers" and a unique number is inscribed inside each De Beers diamond through some top-secret technique that doesn't involve lasers or anything of the sort? I'm thinking...maybe some sort of thermographic process? Am I making that up? In any case, I don't get it...but I like it.
