Nothing In The House To Eat? No Problem!
During the first year after we got married, Kendrick spent months at a time on tour, which meant that I spent lots of evenings eating dinner alone. And of course I missed him a ton, but the truth is that there's something really cozy and satisfying about making exactly what you want...

We got home from the Hudson Valley late on Saturday night, and weren't really in the mood to go out. Unfortunately, the sum total of what we had in the refrigerator was leftover pulled pork, some hamburger buns, various odd condiments, and the eggs we purchased at Blue Hill at Stone Barns.
It May Be Time To Head North
On Saturday morning, Kendrick and I headed upstate to Irvington, in the Hudson Valley, for a sort of half-day-trip/half-tentative-house-hunting-trip. Ever since I was little I've sort of fantasized about living in the Hudson Valley one day. But I never really took it seriously, because...you know, can't take the city girl out of the city, etc etc.
