This is not what I wore on New Year's Eve.
This is what I wish I'd worn on New Year's Eve.
I don't eat a whole lot of seafood. I mean, I obviously eat sushi whenever I can get my hands on it, and I make that Shrimp Saffron Linguine at least once a month...but other than that, the only thing I really do is bake a solo piece of salmon whenever Kendrick's away for the evening.
...and another holiday season has ended.
On New Year's Eve, we headed back to our place for Slow-Cooked BBQ Pork paired with baked beans, potato salad, and coleslaw.
More or less exactly the same thing we did last year. Minus the oeufs en cocotte, alas.
Happy New Year.
I've been asked to be an OWN/She Speaks "Conversation Leader," which means that I'll be viewing and writing about the shows in advance of the premieres (cool), as well as chatting about various things over on the OWN/She Speaks boards.
This is the first time I've made my Aunt Jo-Anne's famous (at least in our family) baked beans in a slow-cooker. Highly. Recommended.
...At least for the weekend.
