Weekend Snapshots: With The Girls
I had kind of a lot of fun this weekend.
First of all, I went out. I mean, not really "out", more like Francesca was staying at our place for the night, and after dinner we started talking about maybe going out for a drink somewhere, and I said "but it's 8PM", and she looked at me like I was a crazy person.
And so I put on my new heels and threw my wallet into my purse, and Francesca looked at me like I was a crazy person again and said, "Jordan, you need to put on pants."
Alright, Let’s Do It: Playroom Time
Playrooms keep children so happy and entertained that entire adult conversations can be had. Wine can be drunk. The kids couldn't care less what we do; there's a fake stove to climb into.

Hm.
I'm not sure last night's bread-making experiment was entirely successful.
Here's the thing: if you've been reading here for awhile, you know I have a ludicrously spotty history with baking of any kind. Sometimes it works...sometimes it really, really doesn't. And there's no big mystery here; I know why my baking experiments don't always (ok, don't usually) turn out as planned, and the answer is that I'm a lazy mess when it comes to using for-real measuring devices. I figure, hey, that looks more or less like a cup of milk...I'm sure it'll be fine.
And do I learn my lesson?
I do not! Because I believe that the power of positive thinking can conquer even basic chemistry. (Or, fine: it's probably more the aforementioned lazy mess thing.)
Lust Object
I mean...I remember futons from college. And they didn't look like this.
Granted, this Chocolate Fresh Futon Beat (maybe a new name, guys? just a suggestion) is about twice as expensive as the (not so cute, but perfectly comfortable) model I had way back when...but if you're looking for a stylish and slightly more grownup-looking way to provide extra sleeping space for guests? Love it.
