They meet at a bar in New York: he's managing the house band, she's headed south on a road trip with some guy she's dating. He sees her sitting on a barstool and tells her he's going to marry her. She laughs.

Always Order Dessert / NYC Cooking Classes
You know my friend Alejandra? She of the fabulous cake recipes?
Awesome news for those seeking culinary advice: she's offering dinner-party cooking classes starting next week in Hell's Kitchen. Class sizes max out at 8, and for each class she'll teach students how to cook a full menu using fresh, seasonal, and mostly local ingredients (plus entertaining and professional cooking tips).
All the classes will feature unlimited paired cocktails or wine included with the price, and of course will end with a delicious meal. Also, everyone will get their own chef's knife and apron to use during the class, and will go home with a gift bag full of treats, kitchen stuff to keep, and a recipe booklet.
The classes are $125 per person, and RG readers get 10% off (just email Alejandra directly at alejandra@alwaysorderdessert.com after you've signed up, and she'll refund you the discount).
Keurigs and Icy Things
I've officially become one of those people who gets all excited about wandering around in the coffee aisle, and who strikes up conversations with total strangers about the relative merits of different varieties of K-Cups. (I know.)

Just A Touch Of Cloud
I'm totally into dove grey these days, especially when mixed with dark browns and natural wood (like this beautiful interior), and the Bedbuggs Big Grey Bow Pillow ($24) is a stunning way to add a hint of the shade to your decor without blowing your budget.
Isn't that beautiful? I love the idea of using soft colors and bows to add a touch of femininity to otherwise masculine decor (how gorgeous would this be on an antique leather couch?), but this pillow would work with everything from pastels to neons.
Winner & Thank You
First, thanks for being so patient with me during these last two giveaways - I was on the road all day on Thursday and Monday, but all of your comments/contest entries should be approved now. If you're having any trouble, please let me know!
And second, the winner of the Samsung SH100 camera is Megan. Congrats, Megan! I'll announce the winner of the Lulu's giftcard giveaway on Friday.

Like Rainbow Sorbet
The coral color of this dress is perfect for steamy summer evenings...and it's $36. Really. Plus, the flowy layers are comfortable and light, and it easily transitions from day to night with a simple shoe switch-up.
Weekend Snapshots
Whenever we drive up to Maine, we try to leave some time for pit stops along the way. This time, we hit Cambridge just around 2PM, so we thought we'd stop in for lunch and to say hi to my old dorm (sort of pictured above).
