This is one of the major mistakes that renters make: refusing to put time and effort into their apartments because they don't own them. You're going to spend a year of your life in those few hundred square feet...so why not put in a little money and time (notice I said a little) to make your present living space a bit more "you"?

As I've mentioned before, I'm not a big coffee person - it makes me jittery-er than I already am - but this morning I've been getting a slow start, and when I took the dogs out for a walk...well, it just felt like an iced-coffee kinda day.

I've thrown those parties where I've spent days creating from-scratch hors d'oeuvres, pastel-y little cupcakes, and specialty drinks. This was not one of those.
I get a lot of compliments on this guacamole recipe (served up at last night's party)...but you want to hear a secret? It's not that I make incredible guacamole...it's that guacamole is always incredible.
