Between Cathrine’s photography, Ernesto’s hairstyling, Nathan’s makeup, and Nkem’s wardrobe styling, I felt like a total princess. Nathan (who has worked with celebs such as Angelina Jolie and Mariah Carey and photogs such as Patrick Demarchelier and Steven Klein, and is totally adorable) even adorned me with the lipstick used on Angelina in this iconic shoot, which she had discontinued almost immediately afterwards.
Our extremely talented (and extremely handsome) stylist Ernesto removing my extensions at the end of Sunday’s shoot. Ernesto does both session styling and private parties; HIGHLY recommended, especially for brides and boudoir shoots. I’ve never had such sexy hair in my entire life.

MY FAVORITE TEA SANDWICHES
Grab some “Very Thin” Pepperidge Farm white bread, and smear with full-fat Philadelphia cream cheese. Add thinly sliced cucumber and a sprinkle of salt, and top with a second slice of bread. Remove crusts, and cut in half diagonally. Consume in vast, unladylike quantities.
(Egg salad & cress is my second fave tea sandwich combo.)
As a Lifecaster, I get my photo taken a lot (and by this I mean: “Excuse me? Hi. Would you mind taking my picture while I x?”). Since Kendrick is often the one tasked with taking the shots of me, I thought for Christmas a nice gift would be to set up a photo session for both of us. Also, I thought that the shots might end up being very special to our kids - I love old pictures of my mom and dad.
Lucky for me, this incredible photographer, Cathrine Westergaard, offered to do the shoot with us…and to bring over her friends to do hair, makeup, and styling. I’m not sure how Kendrick will react to things like concealer and blow-dryers, but I am SO excited.
