Thursday night, the rest of the crew went out to a sushi place, but my tired husband and I decided to improvise a homemade dinner (well, I improvised while Kendrick drank a Fat Tire).

On the plane to Aspen, I read Anthony Bourdain’s The Nasty Bits, a blissfully haphazard collection of essays from his travels. Let’s just ignore how freaking cute the guy is for a second (mayjah crush): the man can write.

Helmeting and Kisses

This was Kendrick’s second time snowboarding ever, so he thought it best to wear a helmet (a good idea for everyone, regardless of skill level…and yeah, I should probably take my own advice).

I’d like to go at least once more this winter, so I did a little NYC-area research on the best sites and deals:

Well…not usually. My jeans were too long for flats, my other pair of jeans was packed…and I now have about a bazillion blisters on my toes. I do, however, absolutely adore my “new” shoes (they’re Julia’s old ones, acquired at Meghan’s Clothing Swap).

I’m not the luckiest person in the world when it comes to travel, but this trip went incredibly smoothly.
